Delhi: One night. Take a city tour of New Delhi, the capital of the country. Explore the magnificent monuments left by it's Moghul emperors, and the British rulers that followed it. Visit the Qutab Minar, India Gate, Connaught Place, and Rashtrapathi Bhawan.
Jaipur: Two nights. An Elephant back ascent up the ramparts of an imposing Fort and a two hour camel safari are included. Rajput culture considers pink to be a color of hospitality, hence the pink walls of the 'Old City'. Constructed in the early 18th century, a lot later than most older cities in India, this one has broad, open streets and is well laid out for exploration. Rajput architecture dominates most of the colorful expanse. Maharaja Upgrade guests stay at the Oberoi Raj Vilas or Rambagh Palace. Pushkar: One night. Legend says that, when time began, Lord Brahma dropped a lotus (pushkara) on this spot in the desert. From this sprang the holy lake that the town is built next to. Many believe that anyone who bathes in this water will be forgiven their sins. In October / November, this is the sight of the Pushkar Camel Fair.
Jodhpur: One night. Founded in 1459 by a Rajput monarch, Jodhpur boasts the most impressive fort in a land that has massive forts scattered all over it. The awe-inspiring facade of Mehrangarh Fort still has many marks of old battles. Maharaja Upgrade & Luxury Level guests stay at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, the Taj Hari Mahal, or equivalent. Udaipur: Two nights. The most romantic and elegant of the hill fortress towns of Rajasthan. Built in the late 16th century at the shores of Lake Pichola, it has the largest palace in the state. Renown for its architecture and it's performing arts, Udaipur may be the purest example of Rajput culture in its heyday. Stay at the internationally famous and magical Taj Lake Palace, Oberoi Udaivilas, or equivalent. As before, handicrafts are plentiful, and you can choose between magnificent palace hotels to stay at.
